Our aim…
Our goal is that after a visit to Skrova, you’ll leave with a lasting and meaningful memory. Perhaps a cliché, but we truly believe you’ll remember your stay with joy and a sense of peace for many years to come — a time when you regained your balance and finally created that portrait of your grandparents.
Once upon a time…
The first time I saw an image appear in a water bath in a darkroom at a photo club in Askim in the 1970s, it was pure magic. A hobby took root. A visit from the then relatively unknown Morten Krogvold also became a milestone. After countless workshops in Vågå and time as an assistant at Bøler, the time was ripe to launch my own projects. Mot veggen became a book, alongside the Legeserien and 60 sekunder. In 2005, Fotobrygga was established in Skrova in Lofoten, with a restaurant and accommodation. That location has now been sold and is today known as Heimbrygga – well worth a visit.
Fotobrygga now resides just a stone’s throw away, in one of Skrova’s distinctive houses, offering accommodation with the opportunity to work with film in a traditional darkroom.
